That Deaf Guy!

Finally! After years of contemplation, meditation, blood, sweat, and tears I have decided to start my own webcomic called “That Deaf Guy”, based on my life being deaf. Yeah, I know…its sorta a no-brainer but lots of brains, brawn, and humor – it has. I will post a new strip every Tuesday! Welcome to Desmond and his journey as “That Deaf Guy” at www.thatdeafguy.com. This website at this point is functional but the design, look and feel of the website is still a work in progress. We will have it fully functional soon. So thanks for your patience in advance!
During my absence of bloggin’, I was developing this comic strip for submission to a national syndicate. I had an amazing opportunity to meet the editor of a national syndication. We had several correspondences and they were very supportive of me and my comic strip, “That Deaf Guy”.
While I am still interested in becoming syndicated, I wanted to stretch my comic muscles on the web first. I am not sure if syndication is for me or webcomics. Only time will tell. Please do email me your thoughts or suggestions of which path my comics should be. I cannot do this alone. You are my #1 fans!

Champ Fans!
Howdy to you all! Thank you for your kind words and supportive emails! Also a big thanks for continuing to check out what’s going on at M.Daigle Toons website and That Deaf Cartoonist blog. You guys are champ!! Thank you Clerc Scar for posting my cartoons during the transition to upgrading my websites.
Now all is well and I am ready for a new start on my creative journey!
I’m looking forward to sharing upcoming news pertaining to my cartoons! I will make some announcements later this week. In case you might forget to check back, please do “RSS” this blog so that you won’t miss some great new offerings!!
Here is my first 2010 cartoon of my blog, this one I did for SIGNews about the missing captions/subtitles in the Disney/Pixar movie rentals. I wonder what went on at Disney during the marketing meeting for the Movie “Up”? Let’s just hope this was a one time snafu that was an oversight and not premeditated.
Anyway I’m so glad to be back bloggin’ or c-loggin’ (a blog about cartoons)!

Videophone Cartoon
This is cartoon is something I stretched beyond my imagination– using a videophone when standing up instead of placing it on the table. After I drew it, I realized that a remote control is a quick solution. But then I thought Deaf people don’t need a superhero belt that holds several gadgets like wireless devices, a remote control, a battery charger and a pen and pad!
Anyway, summer has been busy for me especially moving to a new house!
On top of moving–both of my websites: www.mattdaigle.com and www.mdaigletoons.com will be reconstructed and upgraded soon. Please bear with all the chaos and blog posting during this transition.
In return for your patience, my “mdaigletoons” website will feature not four but 12 published cartoons from SIGNews. I encourage all deaf people to subscribe to this magazine–the only of its kind–to support deaf cartoonist and writers!

Enough? GPC Cartoon
This was an editorial cartoon published in SIGNews, April 2009 issue. After learning about a campaign for a new president at Gallaudet, I came up with an idea, merging with the American Gladiators TV show along with the presidential candidates. Wishing them luck!
